Strange happenings in Summer at the McStocker house

The Weather Watchers

May - June 2006

Cahoots NI presented an enchanting new show for children and their families - The Weather Watchers - which toured across Ireland throughout May and June including the Dundalk Arts Festival for Children, Belfast Children's Festival and opened the Family Days Season at Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaoise. This delightful new story by Bernie Mc Gill featured all the magic and mystery that audiences have come to expect from a Cahoots NI production and with temperatures soaring children were enthralled by sunflowers bursting in bloom, a snow-storm and a journey under the sea.

Archie had had enough of the weather. Everything he wanted to do and everywhere he wanted to go was determined by the barometer in Granny Jo's kitchen. When Archie was prevented from going to the circus, he decided it was time to do something about it and things in the McStocker household were never the same again.

Children joined Archie on his eventful journey through Weatherworld where he encountered some very strange happenings, and discovered the wonder of what's right under his nose once he'd taken his eyes off the clouds.

Granny Jo and Archie search for the stars to guide them home.
